01 — The feed

The living day.

The feed is the day as it stands, not a list of appointments. Now sits on top, then Next, then what to prepare and what to know; the past folds away, and each evening the assistant writes up tomorrow with a tap through to the calendar.

Three numbers, never one.

Bell time, on-campus time and leave-home time are three different facts, so Tandem keeps them apart. Leave-by already has the drive in it, and when it arrives the feed turns red and says so.

03 — What it reads

It reads what nobody put on a calendar.

A coach's email, a ParentSquare notice, Rosa's shift sheet, the kindergarten timetable photographed off the fridge, the delivery that just shipped. Every card can answer where this came from, and the answer is the actual email, sheet or photo.

04 — Restraint

It only asks when it doesn't know.

Pickup is settled every day, so Tandem never brings it up. Drop-off is the part that varies, so that is the one question it raises: one tap, two names. Tell the assistant Theo is skipping practice and the calendar changes; nothing to drag around.

Who's home, without tracking anyone.

Tandem works out who is where from the calendar and the kids' schedules. It never reads a location, so it says "Likely home" and means the likely.

06 — The assistant

Say it, snap it or paste it.

Text, a voice note, a photo of the flyer, a screenshot of the posted schedule. Tandem works out whether it belongs on the calendar, in a kid's profile, as a reminder or as a class schedule, files it, and shows a receipt for what it did.

Send the day, not the calendar.

One tap produces a picture of the whole day for a partner, with the text underneath for anyone who would rather read. Share a window instead and you get a sitter sheet for tonight or a grandparent's page for the week, and it expires on its own.

A profile that knows what today is.

Each kid gets a page: where they are right now, dismissal, the sleep schedule, the roster, what the teacher wrote and the firsts you told the assistant about. Everything you have ever captured is kept in the family book, dated.

A family's calendars, mail and children are not a product. Tandem is built so that they cannot become one.

Your data, your household, nothing pooled.

Tandem holds one family's calendars, mail and kids. There is no aggregate, no feed of other families, no cross-household anything.

ONE WORKER

A single Worker does the reading.

The sweep that reads your mail and calendars runs in one Worker, for you. The phone talks to it, and to Apple for maps and speech, and nothing else.

NO TRAINING

Never trained on. Never sold.

Nothing you capture trains a model. Nothing is sold, shared or scored. Your family's data has one job, which is running your family.

THE KEY STAYS HOME

The model key never ships in the app.

There is no secret to pull out of the binary. The key lives with the Worker, and the app never sees it.
